From Coding to Co-Creating: Competency Frameworks for Human-AI Collaboration in Software Development

Codeflow is a research project investigating how vocational programming students (16-19 years) work with AI-assisted coding tools. The goal is to build an evidence-based competency framework that helps schools design better curricula for the AI era.

How It Works

  1. Students prepare at home by completing 6 short tutorials (~60 min total)
  2. One morning at school — a 1-hour recorded coding sprint using AI tools in small teams
  3. We analyze the data and share results with your school

The Codeflow Recorder app captures screen activity, keystroke patterns, and AI tool usage during the coding sprint. All data is pseudonymized (linked to participant IDs, not names) and GDPR-compliant.
